QR-code scan climbing in Vadu Crișului has started
Last week we finally installed the first two QR-code tags. These are the first two out of twenty and they will cover all the climbing routes our club has equipped over the years in Vadu Crișului – Romania.
The full routes descriptions can be found here. This is where the scanned QR-code will be redirected.
With this QR-code tags you can simply scan it with your smartphone and receive directly on your screen all the info you need to know about the route: how hard or how long the route is, how many quick draws you may need, the detailed map of the route, a full description with the highlighted key points and a lot more. And this in just a couple of seconds. And guess what. This is absolutely free.
You just have to use a QR-code scan application on your smartphone and you have all that info. Remember to set the scanner in inverted scan mode (the QR-code is light color on dark background).
The first two QR-code tags that can be used for climbing are from ”Claia Mică” climbing area and from ”La Lac” area. The first one is pretty difficult but the second one has easy routes, medium difficulty routes and some harder routes. Here you have the QR-code tags we installed so you can make a test with your smartphone:
We are planning in the weeks to come to install the rest of the qr-code tags. We will let you know as soon as we do that.
And we made a 1 short video for you to see how easy it is to climb using your smarphone and a QR code scanner app.
